DATAMARK Conducts NG9-1-1 Public Safety Workshops in Arizona
Seven workshops to be held statewide for 9-1-1 center and PSAP personnel, public safety GIS managers and addressing authorities
PHOENIX, May 7, 2019 – DATAMARK today announced a series of seven workshops in Arizona: “Don’t Run with Scissors: You are Responsible for NG9-1-1.” The workshops will take an in-depth look at the objectives and requirements of GIS in Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) for tomorrow. Discussion will go into detail about where public safety stakeholders need to start and the importance and impact of GIS on NG9-1-1.
The first workshop is a four-hour session and will be held in Casa Grande, Ariz. on May 14; the full list of workshop locations and dates are:

- Wednesday, May 15: Pima County Sheriff’s Office, 3434 E 22nd St, Tucson (8 hours)

- Tuesday, May 21: Mohave Community College, 1977 W Acoma Blvd, Lake Havasu City (8 hours)
- Thursday, May 23: Flagstaff Police Department, 911 E Sawmill Rd, Flagstaff (8 hours)
- Wednesday, June 5: Gila County Sheriff’s Office, Public Works Conference Room, 745 N Rose Mofford Way, Globe (4 hours)
- Thursday, June 6: Navajo County Public Works Building, 100 W Public Works Dr, Holbrook (8 hours)

Attendees will include 9-1-1 center and Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) personnel; regional and state 9-1-1 coordinators; MSAG coordinators; GIS managers; GIS data stewards; addressing authorities; and any other individuals who may benefit from a discussion regarding 9-1-1, GIS, and their roles in next gen 9-1-1. This set of workshops in Arizona is the first of several series that will be held across the U.S.
